Biography:

I am a researcher in the physical sciences, and an author of 28 journal publications which have been cited more than 640 times.  I have worked at Los Alamos National Laboratory, the National Institute of Standards and Technology, and the University of Delaware.

I have spent many years teaching. My professional teaching experiences, such as my experiments with updating how students and teachers communicate, have guided my participatory politics ideas.

I have two young children, ages 6 and 8. Partly because of them, I am extremely interested in sustainability issues in general and climate change in particular.
